Athlete of the Month
Since its inception, St. Charles Toyota is the proud sponsor of the local area "High School Athlete of the Month" program in conjunction with the Chicago and Trib Local. The contest features nominees from local high schools and allows readers to vote for their favorite nominee. The athlete with the most votes at the end of the balloting period is declared the winner. The Alf Family generously provides the winning plaque to each monthly high school winner, along with a $500 monthly donation to the winning High School Athletic department.

Kelly is the March athlete of the month for her outstanding achievements in Softball. Matt Williams is the April athlete of the month for his outstanding achievements in Baseball. 2011 Scion Design Challenge
Thank you to this years participants in the Scion Design Challenge. 3 teams representing Saint Charles North, Geneva and Saint Charles East high schools earned the right to compete against one another by being the best in their respective schools. The challenge to identify, design and market a new Scion resulted in our best competition yet. Congratulations to Jet Designs, Inc. of Saint Charles North High School for being this years winning team.

St. Charles Toyota, sponsor of Triblocal.com's High School Player of the Month contest, presented an award May 19 to St. Charles East senior T.J. Travis, winner of the April contest.
Steve Alf of St. Charles Toyota presented the award to Travis, a catcher on the school's boys baseball team. Varsity baseball coach David Haskins and Kathie and Tim Travis, T.J.'s parents, were on hand for the presentation at the varsity baseball field at St. Charles East High School. As the contest's sponsor, St. Charles Toyota also donates $500 to the athlete's school.
The presentation was conducted during the team's Senior Day ceremonies, which took place prior to East's home game against Streamwood High School.

March Sports Player of the Month winner Ricky Clopton receives award
Batavia High School basketball star Ricky Clopton was honored on being TribLocal/ St. Charles Toyota March Sports Player of the Month contest winner at a school booster club meeting April 7. Clopton received a plaque and Batavia High School was awarded a $500 check donated by St. Charles Toyota.

Lexi Baltes of St. Charles East High School Honored
Senior basketball palyer Lexi Baltes was honored on Friday, February 26th for being TribLocal/St. Charles Toyota February High School Player of Month. St. Charles Toyota on behalf of Lexi's accomplishment donated $500 to St. Charles East High School. Steven Alf presented the oversized check to Lexi Baltes at half time along with her coach Lori Drumtra.
Each academic month TribLocal and St. Charles Toyota honor one outstanding high school player of the month. Players are chosen through online voting at triblocal.com/hspm. Check this month's contest and vote for your favorite high school athlete.


Kelsey Stone receives award for January Sports Player of the Month contest
Batavia High School basketball center Kelsey Stone was honored on being TribLocal/St. Charles Toyota's January Sports Player of the Month contest winner at a school booster club meeting April 7. Clopton received a plaque and Batavia High School was awarded a $500 check donated by St. Charles Toyota.


St. Charles Toyota honored Batavia High School junior Megan Ramp Feb. 5 as the winner of Triblocal.com's High School Player of the Month contest for December.
Ramp served as captain of the girls' golf team and was a key contributor to Batavia's success during the 2009 season. Ramp was honored during a ceremony before Batavia's boys basketball team hosted Glenbard South.
Ramp received the highest number of votes cast by readers during the balloting period in December's contest. Triblocal.com nominates student athletes from local high schools for each month's contest. Readers then go online to cast their votes for their favorite nominee. The student with the most votes at the end of the balloting period is declared the winner.
St. Charles Toyota, the contest's sponsor, makes a $500 donation to the student's high school and presents the student with an award.

Triblocal.com and St. Charles Toyota awarded the High School Sports Player of the Month to Batavia High School Senior Katie Rueffer Nov. 28.
The volleyball player earned the most votes in the monthly poll, and Batavia High School will recieve $500 for its Booster program from St. Charles Toyota.

Steve Alf of St. Charles Toyota presented St. Charles East High School senior Charlie Lyon with an award Oct. 2, honoring the varsity soccer goalie as Triblocal's High School Player of the Month for September.
Alf made the presentation during an all-school assembly recognizing the high school's fall athletes. St. Charles Toyota, sponsor of the High School Player of the Month contest, also made a $500 donation to the school's athletic department.
Triblocal.com, in conjunction with Athletics2000.com, nominates outstanding athletes from local high schools for the monthly contest. The public can then vote online at Triblocal.com for their favorite athlete. The athlete with the most votes at the end of the balloting is declared the winner. The winning athlete receives an award and their school receives a $500 donation from St. Charles Toyota.
